KAHRAMAA Organizes the ‘Monthly Conservation Balance’ Competition 2020

Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA”, through its National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed), is organizing a national competition named ‘Monthly Conservation Balance’ as part of its conservation and energy efficiency drives.

The competition which will run between 16 - 31 August 2020 targets Qatari customers only. A valuable reward will be offered to the customers with the highest consumption reduction rate within three months. The competition is being organized remotely in view of the current Covid-19 pandemic and as part of the precautionary measures in place to prevent the spread of the virus.

The competition is being organized as part of Tarsheed’s objectives to raise awareness among community members on conservation- related issues, in order to achieve Tarsheed’s goals in reducing electricity and water consumptions, achieving energy efficiency, reducing harmful carbon emissions and preserving the environment adhering to the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Tarsheed also seeks to educate the masses about the available resources and the means of enjoying them through minimal consumption to preserve these resources for the future and to introduce the sustainable development goals through the different media channels to promote the competition.

The National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed) invites Qatari customers to register for the competition through KAHRAMAA’s website km.qa or via text messages to the targeted category of customers containing a link for registration and awareness advice.

After the registration, the participant will get a Tarsheed bag, containing related awareness brochures and samples of the tools being used for conservation, such as water-saving faucets and LED lights.

It is worth noting that the National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed) has been organizing several competitions every year since its launching in 2012 under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.

Tarsheed is engaged in spreading awareness, promoting the use of energy efficiency technologies & methodologies, conservation practices and disseminating about renewable energy in the State of Qatar in a way which could contribute in the national economy by cutting down energy and gas consumptions and reducing carbon emissions. This will help in accelerating the achievement of the desired sustainability in line with the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030.

​يعمل مركز اتصالات كهرماء لتزويدك بمعلومات عامة تتعلق بدفع فواتيرك، والتوصيلات الجديدة والحالية، ويعمل المركز على مدار الساعة للاستجابة لطوارئ الكهرباء والمياه. يمكنك الإبلاغ عن أي مشكلة أو عارض و تتبع إجراءات الاستجابة.
يطبق  مركز الاتصال 991 نظام نظام الرد التفاعلي (IVR)، ليساعدك على تقليل وقت الإنتظار على الهاتف والتحدث مع مشغل البدالة. ويجب أن يكون رقم الكهرباء والمياه في المتناول ليمكنك استخدامه أثناء الاتصال. ويعمل موظفو خدمات المشتركين في خدمتكم خلال ساعات الدوام من السبت إلى الخميس من كل أسبوع.
