It is worth noting that the National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency "Tarsheed" has been running competitions every year since its establishment in 2012 under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar. Tarsheed is working to spread awareness and to promote the use of energy efficiency technologies and methods, conservation practices and renewable energy in the State of Qatar in a way that benefits the national economy by cutting down on energy and gas consumption and reducing carbon emissions.
