KAHRAMAA ready to Celebrate Qatar National Day

​Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation "KAHRAMAA" is all set to celebrate Qatar National Day, which falls on 18th December. KAHRAMAA celebrations include a program full of events for its employees on Wednesday 16/12/2015 at the main headquarters at Al-dafnah.

KAHRAMAA celebrates this occasion to express patriotism , pride, loyalty, and commitment to accomplish more achievements, and endeavor to push the development process the State witnesses to achieve a prosperous future.

KAHRAMAA main building was adorned with maroon color, which reflects the joy and pride. During the ceremony, many traditional events which commemorate the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani, will be organized in a reflection to the theme of Qatar National Day 2015, “Our help carries joy to the aggrieved”. 

KAHRAMAA President H.E Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari said,: “On this occasion, I present on behalf of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation "KAHRAMAA” my sincere congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar,  and His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and to His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and to all people of Qatar and all those who reside in it.”
He added: “We have succeeded in KAHRAMAA, thanks to the wise leadership, to implement vital electricity and water projects. We are still investing in the infrastructure for the two sectors to keep up with the overall development the State witnesses and the increasing demand on these two basic services. We endeavor to achieve our mission of Providing High Quality and Sustainable Electricity and Water for Better Living in Qatar” . We are looking forward by 2030 our people, assets, systems and processes will set a global benchmark for performance, technological innovation, environmental sustainability and social responsibility in electricity & water Sector.

Al-Kuwari stressed: “On this occasion, we reiterate our commitment in KAHRAMAA to remain an active key partner for all the plans and programs of the comprehensive development in the country.  KAHRAMAA has focused on Qatari youth cadres through development plans to invest their energies and encourage them to occupy technical professions and provide equal opportunities for Qatari women who assume leadership positions in KAHRAMAA”.

KAHRAMAA celebration program includes many events such as military march, contests, folklore games and the narrator. In addition, schools participates with shows and patriotic songs derived from the Qatari heritage.

The Public Relations and Communication Department at KAHRAMAA is interested in celebrating Qatar National Day every year. It holds distinctive events for KAHRAMAA staff to promote loyalty to this generous country.

On this occasion, Mr. Abdullah Al Jassim, Manager, Public Relations and Communications said: "I extend my sincere greetings to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar and His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the generous Qatari people, At this precious occasion, we endeavor, at Public Relations and Communications Department , to mark the glories of Qatar and the memories of Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammad Bin Thani Al-Thani, the founder of the State of Qatar, and his efforts in establishing the pillars of economic and social development and today’s comprehensive and unprecedented development in various fields and sectors. Our celebration of this day is a great occasion for the renewal of allegiance and loyalty, and our determination to go on in our commitment in KAHRAMAA to remain as an active key partner for all the plans and programs of comprehensive development in the country. Since inception in 2000, KAHRAMAA works to provide Qatar’s need of Electricity and Water with high quality in accordance with the best international and local standards as per Qatar National Vision 2030.

Ms. Manal Ahmed Al-Mannai, head of Communication Section at KAHRAMAA, said: "it is my pleasure to extend my sincere greetings to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar and His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and to generous Qatari people. We ask Almighty God to return this occasion, Qatar enjoys security, safety, and prosperity under the wise leadership of the Emir. "

She said: “in Communication Section at KAHRAMAA, we are keen to promote the values of this occasion practically through informing the public about KAHRAMAA achievements and its efforts to achieve its mission of Providing High Quality and Sustainable Electricity and Water for Better Living in Qatar, to keep up with the comprehensive development the state witnessed and the increasing demand on these two basic services. We have recently launched a Hashtag on KAHRAMAA twitter to post the most prominent achievements of the corporation in 2015. Besides, we provide excellent coverage of KAHRAMAA booth events at Darb-Alsaai.”

Mr. Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Head of Public Relations Section, said: "On this occasion I extend my sincere congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar and His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the generous Qatari people. KAHRAMAA is keen to celebrate this precious occasion every year by holding events for its employees. " He added: “The celebration of this year includes a number of distinctive and exclusive events."
