• Assists in the preparation of Kahramaa's long term water network development plan (master plan), in order to meet current and future demands and supervises implementation of all approved plans, in compliance with Kahramaa's set policies and strategies
• Prepares 5-year Business Plan/CAPEX Plan to include Strategic Plans & Programs of Projects Identified and Defined in coordination with other core group Departments which includes as well the Finance Department
• Prepares and supervises the Project Preliminary and Final Design tasks as well as the Project Development Documentation Report tasks that includes design, permit approvals, justifications, cost, scheduling and programming of Projects developed based on all Project Concept Report (PCR) forwarded by the Systems Analysis Team before a Request for individual or group Contracts is sent to Water Project Department for Implementation, and simultaneously, thereon,  include as part of the overall Strategic Plans and Programs in the overall Business Plan
• Supervises obtaining a two-way information and approvals for the QDES System, QPRO-RO System, and the extensive coordination for Right-of-Ways (ROWs) and the Land Authorization Certification
• Monitors and ensures that water network projects at Kahramaa are being carried out as per the defined scope, timelines, budgets and risk management policies
• Reviews project goals, project plans, milestones and deliverables in line with investment plan targets
• Recommends Head of Network Planning and Development on optimizing the network system design and advice appropriate cost effective water software to enhance or replace existing systems, thereby optimizing life cycle cost and operability
• Assists the Head of Network Planning and Development in the formulation of strategies and action plans to phase out water tankers, in order to reach complete reliance on water networks for providing safe, pure and potable water to Kahramaa's customers
• Assists as well the Head of Network Planning and Development in the formulation of strategies and action plans to maintain a minimum of 7days of Storage on demand in the Water Network System
• Assists as well the Head of Network Planning and Development in the formulation of strategies and action plans to maintain a minimum of 100% redundancy at various stages of the water network facilities to maintain high rate of system sustainability for contingency and reliability in any emergency scenarios
