• Reviews existing system design related to civil engineering and recommends improvements                                                                                 
• Assists his project team in preparation of tender documents
• Participates in review of project Tender documents
• Participates in the planning and design of new facilities that are assigned to the department
• Prepares and reviews/comments on cost estimates for proposed projects
• Assesses and recommends solutions to technical problems being sought by the departments
• Reviews, comments, and approves technical designs, shop & standard drawings and other matters referred by the project team prior and during contract execution
• Carries out actual verifications of sites wherein the proposed improvements and expansions will be executed
