Core Responsibilities:

• Manages tender's issuance and review process that includes preparation of tender documents for new or modification proposals, revision of bids, preparation of structural design drawings, cost estimation and reporting and planning
• Provides civil engineering services such as site technical assessments including cost estimates, preparation of new layouts and designs including construction issues
• Manages engineering consultants and supervise their performance when needed to carry out certain projects
• Reviews drawings and various documents related to maintenance and new contract works
• Reviews existing system design in Mechanical/Civil engineering and recommends improvements
• Reviews and updates list of reference standards available in the department and raises requisitions for procurement
• Assesses all civil and structural works with regard to safety of the existing plant and equipment
• Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification
• Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
  
  Self-Management Responsibilites:
• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
• Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
