Description:
This role holder is responsible for the meter installation and maintenance and repair works of and also assist the Engineer Meter in the approval of service connections and to maintain records of all stock and installations related to meter installations.
Supervises the meter workshop and follows up material stock
Assists in the supervision of the implementation of service connection call-off contracts to consumer premises and tanker filing sites particularly in meter installations
Coordinates with Customer Service Dept. in the inspection of internal plumbing facilities/storage tanks prior to give service connection
Maintains records pertaining to all types meter installation, cancellation, upgrade, disconnection, replacement and re-connection and executes relevant works accordingly
Assists Senior Engineer in all matters related to meter installations and management of Call-Off Contracts
Maintains inventory of meters in stock
Studies and comment on pre-qualification of meter/strainer and related internal plumbing items
Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor
Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Installation Section are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
More than 8 years of relevant experience in a similar industry or in a similar role of which minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience preferably in the area of engineering encompassing inspection and installation works
