Description:
The role holder is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of Fire System Maintenance Technicians. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring Maintenance of Fire Equipment and Systems utilised by Kahramaa’s Maintenance Section for protecting Kahramaa assets and premises from accidents and hazards and ensuring personnel and asset safety.
§ Oversees and helps with conduct of Inspections to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with Kahramaa code of practice and also ensure that they are well maintained
§ Diagnoses malfunctioning Fire Safety Systems/equipment, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
§ Oversees troubleshooting of Fire System problems or resolves queries that arise during Maintenance and repair of Fire Protection & Fire Fighting Equipment/Systems and provides relevant advice to concerned personnel on protecting the assets/premises on Kahramaa and control unforeseen damages
§ Supervises & conducts periodic maintenance checks of all Fire Protection & Fire Fighting Equipment as per schedule
Qualifications:
-Diploma of Associate Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical & Industrial)
-Certifications in Fire Protection and Safety is preferred
With valid Qatar Driving licence
-More than 8 years of relevant experience in a similar industry and/or position with minimum 2 years of relevant supervisory experience preferably in the area of Fire Systems Operations
