The role holder is responsible for designing AMI related technical solutions, applications, technical architecture, conducting system analysis, developing software and conducting business analysis in order to propose implementation of smart metering methods and MDM solutions.
Leads and develops end-to-end technical solutions with regards deployment of smart metering techniques and Meter Data Management (MDM) solutions
Participates in the planning and design of technical solutions for issues related to AMI equipment wherein the knowledge of engineering and programming techniques as well as other advanced technology is utilized
Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of AMI technology using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
Reviews designs and recommends improvements required in the technical designs regarding the implementation of smart metering methods
Ensures the designed technical solutions are in compliance with Kahramaa’s security and regulatory standards
Escalates complex technical problems or issues to the Senior Engineer – Technical Support (AMI), that need the Senior Engineer’s attention, thus ensuring prompt issue resolution
Engages proactively and participates in AMI related data migration and system integration
Broadens scope of knowledge with regards smart metering technology, design patterns and products and applies gained knowledge to design useful AMI technical solutions
Coordinates with respective departments in Kahramaa regarding all technical issues related to AMI equipment operation and maintenance
Gathers customer requirements and participates in developing specifications and test plans
Acts as the connecting link/ interface between equipment suppliers and customers during project phases
Maintains valid documentation of the smart metering facilities
Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Meter Section are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
