The role holder is responsible to plan, direct and develop high quality and efficient systems, procedures and standards för implementation of Kahramaa’s main water projects.Manages the review and check of drawings for head works projects, and ensure compliance with all relevant specifications and standards
Follows up on construction site activities and project implementation, and ensures the implementation of project execution activities, in line with the prescribed specifications and project design
Manages the project scheduling tools and procedures, in order to assist subordinates and consultants in implementing various activities of the project
Secures the head works construction site activities and that projects objectives related to head works are accomplished and within the prescribed time frame and budget parameters
Oversees performance of consultants and ensure that technical expertise in matters related to head works construction activities are available
Supervises that documented scope of work is executed, safety regulations are followed, and quality of installation and workmanship, is line with corporate standards and established specifications
Coordinates with relevant departments in troubleshooting and analysing root causes of faults in head works projects, if any, in order to minimize breakdown time of equipment
Ensures that all cost reduction opportunities are pursued and leveraged in the main water projects of head works, as appropriate
Secures that all documentation related to implementation and maintenance of Kahramaa’s main water projects of head works are in place and that these are well managed, for easy access, when required
Manages disputes related to contractor payments and/ or claims and highlights the same to Engineer – Head Works, to ensure effective negotiation and resolution
Attends factory acceptance tests
Attends and witnesses material production test and inspection at manufacturers
Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Main Projects Section are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
