KAHRAMAA hosts delegation from QSCCB

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) hosted a delegation today from Qatar Social & Cultural Center for Blind (QSCCB) at its main office to be acquainted with QSCCB’s activities, goals, objectives and challenges.

The event was attended by senior functionaries of both organizations. A video on beautiful blind and visually impaired kids and a presentation covering all aspects of the body were the main attractions of the event.

Qatar Social & Cultural Center for the Blind is the first center of its kind in the country, and official member at the World Blind Union and Asian Blind Union.

A visually impaired member of the delegation named Mr. Ibrahimi spoke at length about the assistive technologies which are much beneficial in serving visually challenged people. He also highlighted the impediments being felt across the world.

The Center’s philosophy is to integrate people who are blind into mainstream life and help them achieving complete emergence and recognizing their practical contributions.

At the occasion, Ms. Mariam Al Kuwari, QSCCB’s supervisor of activities presented a memento to KAHRAMAA and thanked all attendees. KAHRAMAA also extended its gratitude for delegation’s visit.
