KAHRAMAA Organizes a Blood Donation Campaign

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA”; represented in Health, Safety & Environment Department, organized a Blood Donation Campaign in collaboration with Blood Donor Center at Hamad Medical Corporation. It comes within KAHRAMAA social responsibility and endeavor to strengthen communication and cooperation with the health institutions in the State.

This initiative came in order to promote the blood storage of the State and to highlight KAHRAMAA’s role as a leading Corporation that gives high priority to social responsibility.

The campaign has been started from 08:00 am to 02:00 pm in front yard of KAHRAMAA Main Building, where a mobile vehicle unit has been provided for blood donation with its medical and nurses stuff.

KAHRAMAA employees chose to respond to that call of duty by voluntarily donating their blood to patients and those who lose their blood at accidents to contribute to fulfill the need of HMC Blood Donor Center, as a humanitarian and national duty. This event contributed in promoting the values of giving and mercy as well as raising awareness of the benefits related to blood donation for donor and its importance in saving people’s live.

This campaign is a part of KAHRAMAA’s role in communication and contribution to serve community and disseminate awareness of the importance and benefits related to blood donation.

It is worth to mention that KAHRAMAA is committed to continue organizing and promoting such events in support for the community around us.
